We've spent the last few weeks talking about how we prepare for a speaking gig and assuming everything is going to great.

However, one of the ways you can ensure your gig is going to go great no matter what, is to actually prepare for the worst.

That's right, preparing for the worst ensures you deliver your best.

In fact, imagine what would happen if your PowerPoint or Keynote slides went dead, 10 minutes into your 45-minutes keynote. What would you do?

Well, this has actually happened to me, and ever since the first time I was caught without my slides on stage, I've brought a "set-list" with me on stage to every event.
