The Little Things: Stop Talking About Yourself

In last week's Little Thing, we talked about the importance of gratitude.

This week's little thing is all about talking about yourself...

More importantly, this week's little thing is all about EARNING the right to talk about yourself.

Too many presenters attempt to establish credibility in the first few minutes of their presentations. They tell people about their job and experience. They tout their success and attempt to build credibility with the audience by running down their credentials. I'm sorry to say, but no one cares.

I should say no one cares - yet....

What you should do is get the audience so interested in what you're talking about that they start to wonder, "This is SO interesting. Who is this woman anyway?" THAT, is the perfect time to throw in the section about yourself.
