In last week's Little Thing, we worked on handshakes. (It was a little more than that, but it was a little thing.)
This week's little thing is all about gratitude.
Actually, It's an extension of last week's lesson.
Remember, there's nothing worse (for you) but more importantly for the audience than an empty stage. Last week we addressed this in the context of your entrance to the stage and we talked about how you can get more comfortable with those quiet momements.
This week, I want to focus on the ending of your speech.
Too many speakers RUSH off stage. They finish their last slide, they know their time is up, the deliver their last line and the make a b-line for the exit. I get it. Even the audience's applause for your amazing speech can feel a little intimidating.
How are you going to fill those 15 seconds of applause (it's a long time, when you're just standing there.)
